Mechanical linear drives provide powerful thrust, fast loading times and quiet operation.

Mounted below decks, the linear drive moves the rudder directly by pushing on the helm arm or the rudder quadrant of the boat. When the autopilot is disengaged, the drive's electromechanical clutch disengages to allow smooth, unobstructed manual steering.

The fixed end of the linear drive is attached to the structural elements of the boat, while the dynamic end attaches to the structural elements of the boat. the rudder stock or quadrant using an independent helm armendant. Accessory fittings from your steering system manufacturer may be required to complete your installation.
