Ball Bearing Blocks™ offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio available. This is achieved through fully composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple fixing options. Their precise design provides the optimum number of ball bearings for minimum friction while weight reduction is achieved through the use of fiber reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms and beckets.
Highest workload in its class
Proven Ronstan 2-stage bearing system (30 series and above) features ball bearings high quality acetal compression and a full contact secondary bearing. This achieves minimum friction over the entire working load range.
The pulley and bearing system is supported by a frame of cfiber reinforced harge, computer modeled and optimized using advanced stress analysis methods. Dyneema Link, used in multi-sheave pulleys, is produced from high specification SK75 fiber, which is 10 times stronger and lighter than steel, and provides the final connection of the block to the load point.
Simple, versatile and secure attachment
The unique block attaches easily to an attachment point and can also accept Dyneema links and shackles for a variety of effective fastening alternatives. The Dyneema Link used in multi-sheave pulleys is easily mounted and secured with a removable pin. The Dyneema Link can also be removed and replaced with a shackle, custom lashing or strop.
These pulleys are much more compatible with Dyneema/Spectra lines, the laminate connection points of carbon and straps than traditional pulleyswith steel loop tops or shackles.
Low, compact profile
Bi-directional head of unique tie down block allows alignment at one orientation of 0° or 90°, while the unique swivel block allows full articulation.
The flexible Dyneema link used in multi-sheave pulleys provides 0° or 90° orientation. It connects directly to the head of the block rather than to an intermediate head post. This reduces weight and gives the lowest possible profile while still allowing full articulation. The Beckets have been carefully designed to minimize height.
