Constructed from 316 stainless steel for increased corrosion resistance and durability. These clamshell latches feature a closing functionality. Activated by the closing or slamming of a door, the latches are designed so that a spring inside automatically retracts the latch, engaging the strike plate, holding the cover against the frame. Quick and easy to use, this latch features a recessed T-handle for quick access. Spring-loaded handles help prevent rattling. Easy to install by simply inserting the latch body through a single 2" round cutout and screwing in the backplate. Includes hardware to mount the latch. Holding hardware not included.
