A dual mount gives your radar or satdome extra height to tower over anything that might obstruct its view, allt while maintaining a small footprint. This also allows all electronic cables to pass through a single hole for a cleaner installation.
Universal
The lower platform is welded to the body main support. This platform is pre-drilled for almost all open and closed dome radars. The image above shows a lower platform on a dual mount for a closed dome radar. When selecting a Seaview dual mount, make sure the one you are looking at is for a closed dome radar or an open array radar. Dual mounts for an open array radar have an extended bottom platform so that the antenna clears the main body of the mount.
Modular top plate
The top deck is where you bolt the top plate. Seaview developed the top plate to facilitate product selection for thecustomer and improve the appearance of these supports. The days of top plates with lots of holes in them are long gone.
