VHF Inflatable Emergency Antenna 5' 3dB Galaxy
5', 3dB GALAXY-INFL8 VHF, emergency and special purpose inflatable antenna Shakespeare's GALAXY INFL8-5 is the world's first emergency antenna with the performance that deserves the GALAXY name. This is an inflatable antenna that can be quickly deployed via a CO2 cartridge or hand tube and inflates up to 1.6m (5ft) to provide a full 3dB antenna with a range of up to three times higher than any existing helical emergency antenna. Thanks to its inflatable design, the antenna can be deflated and stored safely in its easy-to-spot storage bag until it is needed again.
The antenna can bemounted with its hook-and-loop straps allowing quick and easy installation in all weather conditions. supports, stabilizers or other vertical structures on board. The antenna also features grommets at the top and bottom for easy hanging and securing to spreaders, masts, hardtops and other structures, even in the event the inflatable bladder becomes damaged.
Connectors included in the package allow for versatile connection options. The pre-soldered PL-259 connector allows connection to a fixed VHF directly or to a handheld via the included SMA adapter.
