Includes new 68 AMP alternator, 18-5968 mounting brackets, pulley, wiring, hardware and instructions. Converts Mercruiser aluminum block Model 470 engines serial number 4625580 and above with stator charging system and water cooled voltage regulator to alternator system. NOTE: Fuse kit 18-8220 (sold separately) is required on engines equipped with a Delco starter (round solenoid mounted on the starter); Prestolite starters with remote solenoid DO NOT require a fuse kit. Visually inspect the starter before ordering the conversion kit.
