The Shieldsflex II marine water and exhaust hose features a black synthetic rubber tube and cover. It is reinforced by a metal helix embedded between the layers of HD synthetic rope. It resists exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and salt water. This hose is resistant to abrasion and odor permeation. It now has double the ozone resistance required by SAEJ2006. Shieldsflex II is primarily used for engine intake, wet exhaust fittings (use where elbows or long lengths are required), bilge pump intake and discharge, scupper lines, intake and discharge of toilets, as well as aeration and emptying of holding tanks. Temperature ranges from -20 degrees Fahrenheit to +200 degrees Fahrenheit continuously, +250 degrees Fahrenheit intermittently.
