Adding a remote control to the system can provide dedicated steering control for the fully integrated autonomous driving system, complementing the touchscreen controls on the multifunction display. The remote can also allow control of the autopilot from multiple locations: ideal for driver's seat and other dual helmet settings. The Simrad intuitive tracking joystick autopilot not only keeps track of your driving route, but also allows you to steer manually from any autopilot on the vessel. The FU80 offers intuitive steering and its joystick can be rotated from the center position 70 degrees to port or starboard. When you move the joystick, the rudder moves to the corresponding angle. The joystick and rudder will remain in place until a new rudder angle is set. The commanded rudder angle is clearly displayed on the screenintegrated into the FU80 and is indicated by the position of the joystick. Easy to install This wired remote control can be installed almost anywhere. The simple design allows for flush-mounting using supplied accessories, or external mounting to a desk or shelf using an optional mounting kit.
