Dedicated channel 16 buttons, found on both the radio and its first microphone, provide instant access to the emergency channel. A gimbal mount allows for simple installation on a table, on the ceiling or in a wall. Flush installation is also possible, with an easy front mounting solution, to matchto the discreet style of our glass bridge displays and accessories. DSC Class D Approved: DSC, or "digital selective calling," makes it easier to stay in touch with other boaters and allows you to broadcast your boat's location in the event of an emergency. If you find yourself in difficulty, the RS20's dedicated 'distress' button will initiate a DSC distress call which will send your boat's position to anyone within VHF range. Used in conjunction with a traditional radio distress call, it makes it easier for other boaters equipped with DSC-compatible radios to record your situation and come to your aid. A built-in GPS receiver means your location can be sent even if your boat's other electronics are powered off.
