The slight taper of the high-strength composite bushing matches the corresponding taper in the pedestal base socket, creating a tight, secure fit that can be disengaged if necessary. To prevent free rotation, the Taper-Lock™ ring features a locking tab that also helps keep the pedestal firmly in place.
