The Telescoping Rod Holder Accessory for ShadeFin – a versatile mounting option that fits into standard gunnel rod holders for a portable, adjustable boat sunshade. Made from high-quality, lightweight anodized aluminum, the telescoping rod holder accessory extends from 42" to 67" high – raising ShadeFin above the deck so boaters can stand comfortably below. For boaters at the dock, on a sandbar or in the water, the telescopic rod holder accessory can also be adjusted to position ShadeFin over the side of the boat, protecting you from the sun.

Easily Adjustable

When the sun changes position, the angle and height of this accessory can easily be adjusted at two points along its body: the lower jointure and the launch latch. Toward the base, the lower joint features a Sure-Grip knob and pin lock that allows adjustment of the accessory angle upwards. The mid-height latch on the body is used to adjust the height and 360° rotation of the ShadeFin. If you use this accessory with the Adjustable Rod Holder, the angle of the ShadeFin can also be adjusted from the Sure-Grip button at the top.

Operation

To use the telescopic rod holder accessory, simply insert the solid butt of the gimbal into any standard rod holder on the gunnel, remove the pull pin. , adjust the upward angle using the Sure-Grip knob on the bottom joint to the desired value of 0°, 15° or 30°, then reinstall the pull pin. Then, at the top, simply insert the fixed or adjustable rod holder into the opening. The bracket will lock into place when the gimbal stopperwill insert into the accessory's gimbal pin. Then attach ShadeFin into the bracket, as instructed in the instruction manual, and deploy. Use the latch to adjust ShadeFin height and horizontal rotation.
