This unit is an evolution of the Classic FL-8se unit. The FLX-12 still offers a flat-panel design, but now with Vexilar's exclusive brushless data transfer technology. New LEDs provide a 20% brighter, sharper display. This device has a special low power mode option that allows you to fish in extremely shallow waters with great target resolution. Five depth ranges up to 120 feet. It offers a unique night mode option so that the screen is easier to view at night and also illuminates the center depth graphics. There are 20 stages of interference rejection (IR) to help eliminate interference from other sonar systems. If your battery is low, the screen emits a series of coded flashes long before the device turns off. The FLX-12 is also VERY popular foruse in open water.
