The GX Tank 140 takes Measures up to four tank level sensors. This is an accessory for our GX system monitoring product line, of which the Cerbo GX is the most commonly used model.

Tank levels can be read locally within the system, see screenshot, as well as remotely via our VRM portal.

The GX Tank is compatible with current transmitters (4 to 20 mA) as well as voltage transmitters (0 to 10 V ). Connection to the GX device is via USB, which also powers the GX Tank: no additional power cables required.

The wiring to the tank transmitter is as simple as possible: two of the four inputs provide 24V power, to power the transmitter. The other two channels require poweron externally, and there is power in the terminal as well as fused outputs to facilitate this.

The upper and lower limits are configurable, to allow the use of transmitters which only provide 'part of the scale, for example 0 to 5 V.

To provide a stable reading, the readings are averaged with damping. Damping can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds.

Faulty sensors and wiring problems are detected: an alarm will be triggered when values are out of range.

For marine applications, the GX device can transmit these tank levels over the NMEA 2000 network to be picked up by other displays such as an MFD.
