Skylla-i 24/100 battery charger (3) 230 V battery charger

The Skylla-i (3) has 3 isolated outputs. All outputs can provide full rated output current.

Features:

  • Robust - Epoxy powder coated aluminum enclosures with protection Anti-drip and stainless steel fixings resist the rigors of an unfavorable environment: heat, humidity and salt air. The circuit boards are protected with an acrylic coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Temperature sensors ensure that power components will always operate within specified limits, if necessary through automatic reduction of output current in extreme environmental conditions.
  • Flexible: alongside a built-in interface CAN bus (NMEA2000), rotary switch, DIP switches and potentiometers are available to adapt the acharging algorithm to a particular battery and its conditions of use. Please refer to the manual for a complete overview of the possibilities.
  • Synchronized parallel operation - Multiple chargers can be synchronized with the CAN bus interface. This is achieved by simply interconnecting the chargers with RJ45 UTP cables. Note: Two-output and three-output chargers cannot be paralleled with each other. Please see the manual for details.
  • The right amount of charge for a lead acid battery: Variable absorption time - When only superficial discharges occur, the absorption time is kept short to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically increased to ensure the battery is fully recharged.
  • Preventing damage from excessive off-gassing: BatterySafe Mode - Ifyou want to quickly charge a battery, high charging current in In combination with high absorption voltage, the Skylla-i will prevent damage from excessive gassing by automatically limiting the rate of voltage rise once the voltage of gassing achieved.
  • Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not used: Storage mode - The storage mode activates whenever the battery has not been subjected to discharge for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (26.4 V for a 24 V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is brought back to the absorption level to "refresh" the battery. This feature prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, a major cause of early battery failure.
  • To increase battery life: compensationTemperature sensor - Every Skylla-i comes with a battery temperature sensor. Once connected, the charging voltage will automatically decrease with increasing battery temperature. This feature is particularly recommended for sealed lead acid batteries and/or where significant battery temperature fluctuations are expected.
  • Battery Voltage Sensing – To compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance, the Skylla-i comes with a voltage sensing function so that the battery always receives the correct charging voltage.
  • Suitable for AC and DC power (AC-DC and DC operation -DC) - The chargers also accept a DC power supply.
  • Use as a power supply - Thanks to the perfectly stabilized output voltage, the Skylla-i can be used as a power supply if batteries or large buffer capacitors do not are not available.
  • Prêt for Li-Ion (LiFePO4) - Simple on/off control of the charger can be implemented by connecting a relay or opening the optocoupler output from the collector of a Li-Ion BMS to the remote control port of the charger . Alternatively, full voltage and current control can be achieved by connecting to the galvanically isolated CAN bus port.
