A solar charger collects energy from solar panels and stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, SmartSolar maximizes this energy harvest, intelligently controlling it to achieve a full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains battery health and extends its life.

The SmartSolar charge controller will recharge even a severely depleted battery. It can operate with battery voltage as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not sulfated or permanently damaged.

Advanced maximum power point detection in partial shading conditions.

Cooling by natural convection.
Automatic recognition of battery voltage.

Sizing Options:

Fits a variety of battery voltages. Most models connect to 12, 24 and 48 V batteries, some connect only to 12 and 24 V batteries, or only to 48 V batteries.
Charging currents of 10A to 100A.
PV array maximum Voc voltages ranging from 75V to 250V.
Multiple chargers can be used in parallel. For larger systems, we recommend using models with a VE.Can communication port.

PV terminal options:

TR – one positive and one negative screw terminal.
MC4 - 3 pairsof MC4 connectors in parallel.

Bluetooth options:

SmartSolar models feature Bluetooth.
BlueSolar models n They don't have Bluetooth. They can be equipped with Bluetooth by connecting the VE.Direct Smart Bluetooth dongle. Advantage: the product is not accessible via Bluetooth when the dongle is not connected. Note that on SmartSolar models, Bluetooth can be deactivated.

Display options:

VictronConnect application. Connects via Bluetooth or via the VE.Direct - USB
MPPT Control interface. Connects to all models via VE.Direct
SmartSolar Control Display cable. Plugs directly into the case of larger models
GX device
VRM website (GX monitoring device required)

Communication ports:

VE.Direct - all models
VE.Direct and VE.Can - lim modelsities. VE.Can is particularly suitable for systems equipped with several solar chargers. All units are simply "daisy chained" to each other with a single RJ45 cable between each unit and also between the last unit in the chain and the GX monitoring device.

Temperature sensor options:

Internal (all models).
Internal external via the Sense intelligent battery (only SmartSolar models).

Load output options:

Physical output - On 10, 15 and 20A models.
Virtual output - via VE.Direct TX digital output cable and BatteryProtect or solid state relay.

Remote activation and deactivation of the charger:

All larger units are equipped with remote on/off terminals Victron standard. All models that do not have an on/off terminalBuilt-in remote can be controlled remotely using the VE.Direct non-inverting remote on/off cable – ASS030550310. Note that this prohibits using the VE.Direct port for anything else.

Firmware update options:

Local updates via VictronConnect app (via Bluetooth or interface USB-VE.Direct)
Remote updates via VRM website and GX device
