EVERY USE - Rinse after use, especially after use in salt water. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight.
OCCASIONALLY - Hand wash with mild detergent to help prevent mildew, rinse and hang to dry. We love McNett Wetsuit and Drysuit Shampoo. MiraZyme or Sink the Stink fromMcNett is good if your PFD has developed a stink, or you can use a natural surf remedy to eliminate the stink!
SEASONALLY - Inspect the PFD for tears and holes, make sure zippers and buckles work properly. If the material is discolored, the fabric has probably lost its strength. Foam deteriorates over time, so test your PFD and make sure it keeps your mouth out of the water. If you notice fraying fabric or webbing, severe UV damage, or crushed foam, please discard and replace with a new, shiny MTI PFD.
