Airmar DT800 NMEA 2000 Through-Hull Slanted Element Smart Sensor - 20° Marine Navigation & Instruments
The DT800 uses Airmar's proven tilted element and broadband technologies in this intelligent depth and temperature sensor. The DT800 is a retractable, low-profile through-hull sensor that accurately calculates depth and temperature data and sends it to the NMEA 2000 network. Airmar's smart sensors incorporate microelectronics: the transducer element and the signal processor are only a few millimeters apart. The depth transducer signal is processed directly inside the sensor itself. All that is needed to receive depth and temperature data is a simple cable to a compatible network or display.
The ceramic is angled inside the housing, compensating for the dead state of the hull and directing the transducer beam downward. This results in strong echo returns and accurate depth readings. The DT800 is sold with a choiceix of robust housings – in plastic, bronze or stainless steel – to adapt to any type of vessel or hull material. These low profile housings do not affect the performance of the case.nd will give accurate readings at high speeds. The housing features a water valve that minimizes water entry into the boat when the retractable insert is removed and replaced with the blanking plug.
The DT800 is available in three models of inclined elements:
- Fixed version inclined at 20° for hull angles from 16° to 24°
- Fixed version inclined at 12° for hull angles from 8° to 15°
- Fixed version inclined at 0° for hull inclination angles from 0° to 7°
