The DST810 and CAST applications provide a simple, consistent way to calibrate speed in water. The free CAST app offers calibration options that until now were only available via expensive PC software. In addition to water temperature, depth and a speed output in theenhanced water of 5.7 Hz (5X per second) with improved speed resolution, the DST810 has a built-in attitude sensor for heel and trim data. This information, combined with the powerful CAST application and simple, make calibrating heel-compensated speed across multiple heel angles and speed ranges quick and intuitive, and is independent of onboard instruments.
