Airmar DT812PV-235-N2 - 235kHz - Smart sensor passing through plastic shell - 12° tilt - NMEA 2000 - 6M cable Marine Navigation & Instruments

The DT800 uses Airmar's proven tilted element and broadband technologies in this Smart™ depth and temperature sensor. The DT800 is a retractable, low-profile through-hull sensor that accurately calculates depth and temperature data and sends it to the NMEA 2000 network. Airmar's Smart™ sensors integrate microelectronics: the transducer element and the signal processor are only a few millimeters apart. The depth transducer signal is processed directly inside the sensor itself. All that is needed to receive depth and temperature data is a simple cable to a compatible network or display.

The ceramic is angled inside the housing, compensating for the dead state of the hull and directing the transducer beam downward. This results in strong echo returns and accurate depth readings. The DT800 is sold with a choice of caseRobust rs – made of plastic, bronze or stainless steel – to suit any type of vessel or hull material. These low profile housings do not affect hull performance and will give accurate readings at high speeds. The housing features a water valve that minimizes water entry into the boat when the retractable insert is removed and replaced with the blanking plug.

The DT800 is available in three models of inclined elements:

  • Fixed version inclined at 20° for hull angles from 16° to 24°
  • Fixed version inclined at 12° for hull angles from 8° to 15°
  • Fixed version inclined at 0° for hull angles from 0° to 7°

DT812PV-235-N2 - 235kHz - Smart sensor through plastic hull - 12° tilt - NMEA 2000 - 6M cable

Airmar has taken its proven Tilted Element™ and high bandwidth technologies and has applied to its leading range of Smart™ sensors. The DT800 isa discreet, retractable thru-hull sensor that calculates precise depth and temperature data and sends it to any NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 display. The DT800 operates at a frequency of 235 kHz and can operate simultaneously with other onboard Airmar 50/200 kHz transducers without interference. Broadband ceramic provides depth readings up to 183 m (600'), as well as accurate shallow water readings down to 500 mm (1.6'). Available in fixed tilt of 0°, 12° or 20°, the DT800 is perfect for powerboat and sailboat applications. It comes with a choice of rugged housings – plastic, bronze or stainless steel – to suit any vessel type or hull material. These low profile housings do not affect hull performance and will provide accurate readings at high speeds.

Airmar's Smart™ sensors incorporate microelectronics: the transd elementuctor and the signal processor are only a few millimeters apart. The depth transducer signal is processed directly inside the sensor itself. All you need to receive depth and temperature data is a single cable to a compatible device or display. Because the ceramic is angled inside the housing, the transducer beam is aimed downward, resulting in strong bottom echo returns and accurate depth readings. Retractable housing with self-closing valve reduces water flow into the container when the transducer is removed for cleaning.
