The P79S brings depth intelligence to your boat. Featuring Airmar's Smart sensor technology, the P79S delivers processed depth data directly to the onboard network for use on multiple displays. Smart sensors incorporate microelectronics: the transducer element and the signal processor are only a few millimeters apart. The depth transducer signal is processed directly inside the sensor itself. All that is needed to receive depth data is a simple cable to a compatible network or display. The smart sensor can transmit in NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 protocol.

The P79S includes a plastic mounting base aligned with the center line and secured inside the hull . Then it is filled with non-toxic antifreeze. The transducer is inserted into the base and adjusted for the appropriate offset, garaknowing that the beam will be directed downward for maximum echo returns. Eco-friendly coolant provides the best means of transmission through the fiberglass sol.id and into the surrounding water. The main advantage of an in-hull transducer is the absence of protrusions outside the hull, making it the ideal choice for towed or lifted boats. Designed for small boats up to 8 m (25') with a strong fiberglass hull.

P79 NMEA 2000 In-Hull 235 kHz

The P79 in-hull transducer easily adjusts to hull tilt angles up to 22°. This ensures that the beam is aimed vertically to receive the echoes, allowing for accurate depth readings. Unlike traditional "puck" type transducers, our P79 consists of a base bonded to the hull and filled with liquid. The separate transducerthen secures to the base with a twist lock. Sound waves travel more efficiently through the liquid, providing the best possible performance.

The unique adjustable angle design ensures the beam is aimed vertically for maximum echo return and the best possible performance. Because the transducer is mounted inside your hull, it is the perfect solution for semi-rigid inflatable boats (RIBS) and racing sailboats.

Features:

  • Adjusts to hull lean angles up to 22°
  • None hole to drill
  • Depth only
  • Frequency: 235 kHz
