The outboard starter fits BRP-OMC, V6s from 150 to 235 hp and to the 8-tooth drive gears. ARCO recommends using a fully charged battery - A weak battery can damage the starter motor and starter solenoid. And to clean all connections as well - A corroded connection creates resistance, thereby reducing the amperage required for an efficient starting circuit.
