2" Black Chesapeake Water Temperature Gauge (100-250°F)

Black edge-lit dial with stylish blue and white graphics, stainless steel bezel polished, white outline pointer and domed glass lens.

A temperature gauge works by sending a low amperage current through the gauges to ground via a variable resistance sending unit. Resistance of sending units increases or decreases with changes in temperature, pressure, etc...

As the resistance of the sender varies, so does the amount of current allowed to pass through it. 'to ground changes and the meter deviates, displaying the temperature.
