Portable GPS Connector Cable
The Portable GPS Connector Cable connects a portable GPS unit to your fishing system for easy viewing of track plotting information.
All Matrix, 700 and 900 series units are GPS compatible. A user has three different GPS options with these products. They can either 1) plug a GPS receiver into the accessory bus to obtain GPS track plotting or mapping data depending on the unit's capabilities 2) plug in a GPS receiver with the system link cable to enable two fishfinders different from sharing a GPS receiver, or 3) plug in one of four available portable GPS cables that transfer GPS plot data from any portable GPS with NMEA output capability to the fish finder and to display them on the screen of the fish finder.
Using the portable cables to coConnecting the fishfinder to their portable GPS device, the user can benefit from the GPS plotting capability on the large screen of their Matrix, 700 or 900 series unit at a very low cost. The screens of portable GPS units are small and often difficult to view in extreme marine conditions. By using the portable cables to transfer GPS tracking data, the user can view this information in an integrated form with their sonar information on a large screen visible in direct sunlight.
