The HX400 comes with a massive 2400 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that will keep you talking for around 17 hours. There's no need to worry about the time it will take to completely change the massive 2.4A battery since the HX400 comes with a 3-hour fast charger.

Marine and Land Mobile Channels
The HX400 is factory programmed with all US, Canadian, International and NOAA weather channels. It also has the ability to program 40 land mobile radio channels (137-174 MHz) with CTCSS or DCS signaling through a Standard Horizon dealer.

Note: These channels require the appropriate federal communications license.

Built-in noise canceling microphone and voice jammer

No need to purchase an optional voice jammer for secure communications like the HX400 has it built in. The internal jammer is compatible with Horizon VHF fixed mount and portable 4-code VHF jammers.

The HX400 comes factory preloaded with a description of marine channel usage (16-Distress, 22A-USCG, 71-Pleasure ). Channel names can be customized by the user to easily understand the usage of chaque canal.

NOAA Weather Channels and Weather Alert
10 NOAA and Canadian Weather channels are pre-programmed and easily selectable using the dedicated WX button. Additionally, the HX400 can be configured to monitor WX channels and provide an audio alert to inform of pending storm advisories.

Programmable scanning, priority scanning and dual monitoring
Scanning is not a problem with the HX400. The radio can be configured to scan any number of channels with or without a priority channel or can simply be configured to scan between a priority channel and another channel (dual watch).

Recall of 10 favorite channels - Preset button
Dedicated button that allows programming and quick selection of up to 10 favorite Marine VHF or NOAA weather channels.

Battery life indication
The screen displays a battery bar indicatorterie to inform the remaining charge in the Lithium-ion battery.
