Core Lewmar USA Premium 8 Braid Nylon Anchor

The 8 braid nylon rope eliminates some of the service issues associated with 3 strand cables. 8-Plait uses 8 individual braided strands woven together which allow the rope to be relaxed. But when it is subjected to a load, it tightens until it becomes firm. The higher the load, the more difficult the installation becomes.
8-Plait has the same tensile strength as 3-Strand.
8-Plait will not roll up and create a "bird's nest" in the rack like 3-Strand will. 8-The braid flakes and falls on itself.
8-The braid does not twist or knot.
8-Plait will not coil on itself.
8-Plait has less stretch so it will not sink deep into the gypsy's grip when 'he's overchargedgeed, which means less damage to the stripper when the windlass is abused or overloaded.
8-The braid pulls out of the windlass into the locker much like a chain, allowing for better use of the locker models smaller.
8-Plait is 80% less likely to become stiff when used in salt water than a 3-strand rope.
