SMS100 Short Message (Text) Service Module

Must be used with a GSM band cell provider, not compatible with Verizon Wireless

Maretron SMS100 is a mobile or cellular modem that automatically sends SMS alerts from your vessel to your phone. The SMS100 works with Maretron's dedicated displays (DSM150/DSM250) or N2KView software (with optional N2KView-Alerts module) to detect programmable alert conditions from interconnected sensors on a NMEA 2000 network. N2KView software instructs the SMS100 to connect to the cellular network and transmit an alert message to selected phone numbers. Whether it's high bilge water, low battery voltage, disconnected shore power or an open hatch or door, the SMS100 quickly alerts you of conditions on board of your vessel which require attention everywhereut where you have cellular network coverage.

You can also send a text message to your vessel and with the appropriate sensors installed, the SMS100 will respond with status information including vessel position, bilge status, voltage of the battery and shore power, wind speed, interior and exterior temperature.

Applications:

Programmable alerts (alarms or warnings) screens and sensors installed by Maretron on the vessel automatically trigger text messages sent to your phone
The user can send an SMS to the vessel to know its status (position, status of bilge, battery and shore power voltage, wind speed, indoor and outdoor temperature) which also checks the communication path to ensure alerts are transmitted
Six-band GSM modem bands with mini-SIM card easily interchangechangeable (SIM card is user supplied)
Dipole terminal antenna with hinged SMA connector with versatile mounting options
Weather-resistant housing (IP65 )
