The powerful RC8-8 fully automatic rope/chain windlass can be used with 8mm (5/16") chain spliced to 14mm three-strand or 8-braid rope. The ingenious rope/chain sprocket Wave Design™ chain (chain wheel) is capable of accommodating a wide range of chain pitch differences within specified chain size diameters, suitable for use with the RC8 Series Simple two-piece installation. saves time and money and allows for easy leveling without windlass disassembly. The unique spacer tube design allows for installation on virtually any deck thickness and multiple mounting positions and. Self-aligning gearbox ensures optimal gearbox and motor location in virtually all situationsinstallation kills. The RC8 features Maxwell's revolutionary and patented new Wave Design™ deck. The robust stainless steel (AISI 316) pressure arm is designed to help grip the rope/line splice effectively, giving the RC8 an unrivaled level of performance. In combination with a robust, large diameter, pre-loaded stainless steel wire, the pressure arm always exerts maximum control pressure. The RC8 works just as effectively with all-chain rods. The huge throat of the hawse pipe passing through the deck ensures easy entry of the rope/chain in and out of the anchor locker. Ability to completely disassemble tops using only the provided handle and an Allen wrench. Manual override and "free fall", using the provided emergency clutch crank/handle. Sealed oil bath and marine-grade hard-anodized alloy gearbox provide maximum output via worm gearand a precision worm wheel.
