GP1800 series for 9.5" protection, SailPods are intended for mounting a single radar or chartplotter at the helm, where you can easily operate it and clearly see the smallest details of the screen. It is best to mount a single SailPod on single-curvature AngleGuards or use dual-curvature AngleGuards to mount an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and a SailPod below on the inclined section.

Gen3 Family Features
High Gloss Material
NavPods are made with custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. The hasGen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The tight seal
All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing excellent sealing between the front and back of the NavPod to protect your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "defined compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all steel mounting hardware stainless steel supplied with each NavPod. The big screwsRound head tamper screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide tamper proof screws made from chrome nickel plated stainless steel for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process
Heavy-gaLarge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances. For 2015, we've redesigned and revamped all the popular NavPods. We reviewed all the old products and selected the best design elements from iteach and have incorporated them into every new Gen3 product.
