Gen3 enhancements now availableFeatures high-grade acrylic coated ABS material thicker gauge which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially harmful effects on plastic. These NavPods are really strong!

Waterproof seal
All NavPods are made with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod. This seal offers the best protection for your electronicsnavy. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal Poran Microcell polyurethane seal is now 50% thicker and is not subject to the "compression" "ion set" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices. The seal will continue to do its job.

Nickel-Chromium Plated Stainless Steel
We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. Gen3 NavPods, we supply nickel plated stainless steel tamper proof screws chrome for added security combined with a little bling!
