The Glossy Material

NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material We use the best UV resistant material that provides a very white finish. glossy which matches fiberglass coated with thicker gel material which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The seal wasReed

All NavPods are manufactured with a dual seal system providing an excellent watertight seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Chrome-plated nickel screws

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screwsents. For Gen3 we provide nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper proof screws for added security combined with a little bling!
