NavPods have a high-gloss finish, giving you a clean mounting solution while hiding unsightly wires. Tamper-proof nickel chrome screws provide a little bling and a lot of security. Designed with a double-seal waterproof seal, NavPods protect your electronic devices from the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. It is best to mount a SailPod on a single-curvature AngleGuard or on the angled section of a double-curvature angle guard with an InstrumentPod mounted aboveon the right section.

Structural Rigidity – Gen3 improvements now include thicker support. Gauge acrylic coated ABS material improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof Seal – All SailPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. SailPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer seal with an adjustable fitImproved flush mount. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SailPod in the future in order to repair your electronic devices. The seal will continue to do its job.

Chrome Nickel Plated Stainless Steel – We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. Tamper-proof nickel-chrome-plated stainless steel screws provide security combined with a little style!
