PP4400 series, PowerPods for power are a better option than the bracket mounting. PowerPods offer a sleek look for flush mounting with the benefit of a swivel base.

The trunnion mount that comes with most electronic devices is not optimal. PowerPods have the advantage of protecting the back of the electronics from salt water spray. Most manufacturers do an excellent job of protecting the screen face from water intrusion with sealed rubber push buttons. The back is generally not waterproof. They expect you to slot it into the console or a NavPod. The PowerPod also protects plastic connectors and wires from deterioration caused by prolonged UV exposure.

PowerPods for Sail are intended to be mounted onr a flat surface. Perhaps under the dodger or aft of the cockpit table, especially on twin wheel boats.
