In automatic mode, the ratchet mechanism engages when a load is applied, but turns off when released. Quite simply, Ronstan Ratchet Orbit Blocks™ have the highest holding power available. The sophisticated CN machined pulley features generation 2 of our patented cross-hole geometry. Its holding power reaches 21:1, almost double that of our closest competitor. The unique pulley design features 12 gripping faces that directly resist the movement of loaded line. Traditional designs have only 8 faces with angular resistance to line movement. Our Generation 2 design features straight resistance faces that distribute the load and minimize cable wear. These faces are offset from the radial line, to pull the cable towards the grip zone.nsion when under load.
