Once again in the lead! Some important new features include two integrated jammer systems, a CVS2500A 4-code jammer system and a 32-code FVP-42 jammer system ensuring secure communications on the water. Another new feature includes a built-in Broacast FM band receiver, during times when radio communication is not needed, relax with music on FM radio broadcast bands. Other notable features include: switchable day or night mode, waypoint and route navigation, group watch function using DSC group position calling. The new HX890 has also been redesigned with a new ergonomic body design and has been rigorously tested to comply with the Militay standard (MIL-STD-810F). The HX890, rich in functionalityities, comes with all accessories, including rechargeable Li-Ion battery, alkaline battery tray, 110V wall charger, 220V adapter, charging cradle, 12V charger, programming booth PC.le and belt lip with lanyard, and it's backed by our industry-leading 3-year waterproof warranty. 

Easy to use icon/menu system

Forget trying to memorize the owner's manual. An all-new, easy-to-use menu system makes this the most intuitive handheld on the market. DSC calls, location sharing, waypoint and route navigation, navigation to DSC distress call can all be done in a few simple steps.

GM (Group Monitor) using DSC Group Position Call

This new ADVANCED feature allows you to continuously track and display position informationof a maximum of 9 pre-selected vessels. Their position information is displayed on the compass page relative to your position on the screen.

Water activated emergency strobe light

If the radio falls into water an emergency strobe light is automatically activated, even when the device is turned off!!! The strobe can be reconfigured to turn on and off, SOS flash, or set to stay on continuously.

Built-in 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver

A highly sensitive 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver allows the HX890 to lock on. to a position quickly and accurately. With position information clearly displayed on the screen, the user will be able to share position information using DSC and navigate to waypoints using the radio's waypoint navigation function .

Full oversized matrix displayioned

The HX890 has one of the largest screens on a handheld VHF radio. Measuring 1.7" wide by 1.7" high or 2.3" diagonal. With a larger screen, greater resolution (dot matrix) and super bright backlight, there will be no doubt on the information displayed on the face of the radio day and night.
