Bluetooth Smart enabled The Blue Smart IP67 charger is the wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, changing settings and updating the charger when new features become available. With Bluetooth, the functionality of the IP67 charger is enhanced and is similar to our IP22 and IP65 chargers.
Fully encapsulated: waterproof, impact resistant and fire protected. Water, oil or dirt will not damage the Blue Smart IP67 charger. The case is made of cast aluminum and the electronics are cast in resin.
Greatest efficiency ever! Setting a new industry standard: With an efficiency of 92% or better, these chargers waste three to four times less heat. And once the battery is fully charged, the power consumption is reduced to less than one watt, five to ten times higher than the industrial standard.
5-step adaptive charging algorithm: bulk – absorption – recondition – float – storage The Blue Smart Charger features microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" battery management. The "adaptive" function will automatically optimize the charging process in relation to how the battery is used.
Storage mode: less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use. Storage mode starts when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is brought back to absorption level to "equalize" the battery. This feature prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, a major cause of failureearly battery life.
Also charges Li-ion (LiFePO4) batteries. LiFePO4 batteries are charged with a simple mass – absorption – float algorithm.
Protected against overheating. Can be used in a hot environment such as an engine room. Output current rent will decrease as the temperature increases up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.
