The MultiPlus, as its name suggests, is an inverter and charger combined in one only elegant case. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, PowerAssist hybrid technology and several system integration features.
Two AC outputs
The main output has uninterrupted functionality. The MultiPlus supports powering connected loads in the event of a grid outage or when shore/generator power is disconnected. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without interruption.
The second output is active only when alternating current is available on the MultiPlus input. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater for example, canmust be connected to this output (a second output is available on models rated at 3 kVA and above).
Virtually unlimited power through parallel operation
Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Six 24/5000/120 units, for example, will provide an output power of 25 kW/30 kVA with a load capacity of 720 AMP.
Three phase capacity
In addition to parallel connections, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel for a 75 kW/90 kVA inverter and a load capacity of over 2000 A.
PowerControl - Manage limited generator, dock. Side or network power
The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. It will therefore consume a lot of current from the generator or theshore power (nearly 10 A per 5 kVA Multi at 230 VAC). With the Multi Control Panel, a maximum generator or shore current can be set. The MultiPlus will then take into account other AC loads and use whatever is extra for charging, preventing generator or short circuits. The power supply is not overloaded.
PowerAssist - Increase the capacity of shore power or generator
This feature takes the principle of PowerControl to an additional dimension. It allows MultiPlus to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is often only required for a limited period, the MultiPlus will ensure that insufficient power from the dock or generator is immediately compensated by battery power. When the load reduces, the available energy is used to recharge the battery.
Solar energy: powerAC is available even in the event of a grid outage
The MultiPlus can be used in photovoltaic and other off-grid as well as grid-connected alternative energy systems. Power loss detection software is available.
System configuration:
- In the case of a standalone application, if any Parameters need to be changed, this can be done in minutes with a DIP switch setting procedure
- Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured with VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator
- Off-grid, grid-interactive and self-consumption applications, involving grid-connected inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured with wizards (software dedicated to specific applications)
On-site monitoring and control
Several options areavailable: Battery monitor, multiple control panel, color control for GX or other GX devices, smartphone, tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Monitoring and remote control Color Control GX or other GX devices. Data can be stored and displayed for free on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
