Victron Smart BatteryProtect - 100AMP - 6-35 VDC - Bluetooth compatible Electrical

The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has enough power remaining to crank the engine. When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, any required engagement/disengagement levels can be set. Alternatively, one of nine preset engagement/disengagement levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual). If necessary, Bluetooth can be disabled. The Smart Battery Protect is a one-way device.

It can only handle current in one direction, so either current to a load or current coming from a charger, but not both currents at the same time. Additionally, current can only flow from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal. When used with a load, the battery connects to the IN terminal, and when used with a chwidth, the charger connects to the IN terminal.

The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads. before it is completely discharged (which will damage the battery) or before it no longer has enough power left to crank the engine. The on/off input can be used as a system on/off switch.
12/24V Auto Range The Smart BatteryProtect automatically detects the system voltage only once.
Bluetooth: Programming Made Easy When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, any required engagement/disengagement levels can be set. Alternatively, one of the nine levels of engagement/dPredefined disengagement can be set with the programming pin (see manual). If necessary, Bluetooth can be disabled.
A special setting for Li-ion batteries. In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Note: The BatteryProtect can also be used as a load switch between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery. See the connection diagram in the manual.
Ultra-low current consumption This is important in the case of Li-ion batteries, especially after a low voltage shutdown. Please see our Li-ion battery datasheet and VE.Bus BMS manual for more information.
Overvoltage protection To avoid damage to sensitive loads due to overvoltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16.3 V respectively 32.6 V.
Anti-ignition No relay but MOSFET switches, and therefore no sparkthose.
Delayed Alarm Output The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level for more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine will therefore not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short circuit resistant open collector output to the negative (minus) rail, max. current 50 mA. The alarm output is typically used to activate a buzzer, LED or relay.
Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection The load will be disconnected 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset level. If the battery voltage increases again to the connection threshold during this period (after starting the engine for example), the load will not be disconnected. The load will be reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage increases beyond the preset reconnection voltage.
