Balmar XT series alternators designed for recreational applications. Balmar's XT Series alternators bring together the latest innovations in alternator design to deliver incredible charging power in a compact, marine-friendly package. The XT Series family of alternators feature an industry-leading braided stator wire design to generate exceptional power in the smallest possible area. The XT Series produces slightly more power than our previous AT-Series 165A design and operates at 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. Additionally, we have added Balmar's Smart Ready internal regulator technology to provide an additional level of fault tolerance for cruising boaters. Available XT Series mounting styles have also been expanded to include the 9Si "Vortec" design found on many GM gasoline engines. The alternators ofThe XT Series may require a Tach Signal Stabilizer (Part #15-TSS) if your current tach is not adjustable. XT Series alternators should only be used in a double-vee or multi-groove serpentine belt configuration.ns. Balmar's growing line of AltMount serpentine pulley conversion kits supports all XT Series alternators.
