These Voltage Sensitive Switches (VSS) automatically sense the voltages of the connected battery bank and provide optimal and efficient charging of the second bank . VSS allows independent battery banks to be combined or isolated based on the presence of a charging source (such as an engine alternator or battery charger), while also providing an emergency parallel connection activated remotely, at high current. Designed and built to last in the marine environment with tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts and high temperature fiber reinforced plastics. Units are ignition protected, provide on/off switching operation and can be recessed or surface mounted. The remote emergency parallel function can be operated via a momentary button on the dashboard which will putin parallel the batteries for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, if the voltage is high enough, the voltage sensitive switch will remain engaged. If not, it will disengage
