High gloss material
NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material with plastic cap. Acrylic We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. br>
The waterproof seal
All NavPods are manufactured with a systemth double seal offering excellent sealing between the front and back of the NavPod. for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all steel mounting hardware stainless steel supplied with each NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3, we provide nickel stainless steel tamper proof screwsChrome-plated for added safety combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process
Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes go into game. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers using CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
