GP2050-21 Pre-cut SailPod for Garmin GPSMAP 820/820xs and 840/840xs for 12" wide protection

GP2050 Series for 12" protection, SailPods are intended for mounting a single radar or chartplotter at the helm where you can easily operate and clearly see the smallest details of the screen. It is best to mount a single SailPod on single curvature AngleGuards or use double curvature AngleGuards to mount an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and a SailPod below on the inclined section.

SailPod for Power is intended for mounting on a Stachion SK135. The kit can be used to mount a SailPod on a flat surface, such as the flybridge. Stachion kits can also be used with a SailPod for high-mount applications.

High-gloss material
NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap.We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker gauge material that demonstrates strength and provides better structural rigidity.

Leak-proof seal
All NavPods are manufactured with a system of double seal providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod. for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide tamper proof screws in nickel plated and chrome plated stainless steel.for security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process
Heavy gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with tooling design and development. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
