NavPod GP2170 series for 12" guard, SystemPods allow you to mount several electronic parts in a single NavPod. This is a good way to reduce the height of a system. In addition to mounting a radar or chartplotter, you may have room for an autopilot, instrument, stereo controller, or VHF mic.
It's best to mount a SystemPod on a single-curvature AngleGuards . The single curvature AngleGuard for this model is AG218.

High gloss material

NavPods are made with co-extruded ABS personalized acrylic hoodie. material. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include p materialthicker which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All N/AvPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing excellent sealing between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Chrome-plated nickel screws

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper proof screws have pl socketsDeep screws for the NavPod key for better holding capacity when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide tamper proof nickel chrome plated stainless steel screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with tooling design and development. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
