The NavPods have a high gloss finish, giving you a clean mounting solution while hiding unsightly wires. The tamper-resistant nickel chrome screws provide a bit of bling. and plenty of security Designed with a double-seal waterproof seal, NavPods protect your electronic devices from the harshest, wettest offshore sailing conditions. It is best to mount a SailPod on a Single Bend AngleGuard, or on the inclined section of 'a Doubthe Bend Angle Guard with an InstrumentPod mounted above on the straight section.

Structural Rigidity – Gen3 enhancements now include thicker acrylic-coated ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity . This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof Seal – All SailPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. SailPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 upgrades include exterior sealThicker silicone cover with improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SailPod in the future in order to repair your electronic devices. The seal will continue to do its job.

Chrome Nickel Plated Stainless Steel – We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. Tamper-proof nickel-chrome-plated stainless steel screws provide security combined with a little style!
