This stabilizing converter provides continuous, precisely regulated output over the entire usable voltage range of a battery. This avoids subjecting loads to fluctuating input voltage, which can cause shutdown, decrease performance and possibly damage sensitive circuitry.

This converter provides total input/output isolation, virtually eliminating conducted line noise and allowing the connection of negative cables. ground equipment to positive or floating ground systems, or vice versa. It can be modified for use as a battery charger, allowing them to maintain a battery at a large distance from the main voltage source, thus providing a reserve of energy in the event the main source fails.
