MultiPlus 12/500 - 20-16 - 120V - VE. UL Bus Approved

The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger with adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single package compact. In addition to these main functions, the MultiPlus has several advanced features, described below.

Parallel operation and three-phase capacity

Up to six Multis can work in parallel to achieve higher output power. In addition to parallel connection, three units can be configured for three-phase output.

PowerControl - Manage limited generator power, shore side or grid power

With the multiple control panel, maximum generator or mains current dock can be defined. The MultiPlus will then take into account other AC loads and use whateveris additional for charging, thus preventing the generator or shore power from being overloaded.

PowerAssist - Boost the capacity of shore power or generator

This feature takes the principle of PowerControl to an extra dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is often only required for a limited period, the MultiPlus will ensure that insufficient power from the dock or generator is immediately compensated by battery power. When the load is reduced, the available energy is used to recharge the battery.

Four-stage adaptive charger and two-bank battery charging

The main output provides powerful charging to the battery system using advanced "adaptive charging" software. The software adjusts the automatic process in three steps en based on battery condition and adds a fourth stage for long periods of trickle charging. The adaptive charging process is described in more detail on the charger data sheet and on the Victron website under Technical Information. Additionally, the MultiPlus will charge a second battery using an independent trickle charge output intended for a main engine or generator starting battery.

High starting power

It is necessary to start high demand loads such as power converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools .

Search mode

When search mode is activated, the power consumption of the inverter in no-load operation is reduced by approx. 70%. In this mode, the Multi, when operating in inverter mode, turns off in case of no or very low load and turns on every two secondses for a short period of time. If the output current exceeds a set level, the inverter will continue to operate. Otherwise, the inverter will turn off again.

Programmable relay

By default, the programmable relay is set as an alarm relay, it i.e. turn off the relay in the event of an alarm or pre-alarm (inverter almost too hot, ripple on the input almost too high, battery voltage almost too low).

On-site system configuration, monitoring and control

After installation, the MultiPlus is ready for operation. Some settings can be changed using DIP switches. 500/800/1200VA models: remote switch/battery charging voltage/inverter frequency/search mode. 1600/2000VA Models: Battery Charging Voltage/Search Mode. For pFor more settings, use VE-Config or VE. Smart USB key.

Remote setup and monitoring

Install a Cerbo GX or other GX product to connect to the Internet. Operational data can be stored and displayed free of charge on Victron's VRM (Victron Remote Management) website. Once connected to the Internet, systems can be accessed remotely and settings can be changed.
