The Easyfit battery switch was created for installations where switches must be recessed into different panel thicknesses. It achieves this through an easily removable threaded ring that allows for panel thicknesses of up to 3/4 inches. This switch uses the same features as the 701 with the removable key 45 degrees beyond the off position, a labeled handle, and a removable back cover covering the exposed terminals to meet ABYC specifications. It can also be surface mounted providing a unique style. Test procedures for BEP (UL 1107) marine battery switches continuous (1 hour), intermittent (5 minutes), and cranking (engine starting - 10 seconds). The test involves determining the maximum current the switch can handle for the specified time, without the rear terminals exceeding 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) above ambient temperature.
