The Icom M510BB is perfect for boats that need the 'AIS to receive functionality without taking up valuable space at the helm. . The supplied white CommandMic™ provides all safety and communication functions for commercial and recreational boaters.

Clean installation for limited helm space

The M510BB consists of a CommandMic™ and a black box RF unit. Use the CommandMic™ for all operations, including DSC. Install the RF unit out of sight, placing it up to 60 feet (18.3 m)* from the CommandMic™.

*Two OPC-1541 cables are required for installation 60 feet away

CommandMic™ Stations

Add up to two additional CommandMic™ microphones for boats requiring two or three communications stations. Expand auto communication pointsheart of the boat, notably the cockpit, the flybridge and the tower. Access intercom functions for one-to-all or one-to-one communications on the boat.

AIS reception

The M510BB includes a receiver Integrated AIS, perfect for remote station information via the CommandMic™, or integrated with the NMEA 2000 bus to display radar and chartplotter information on an MFD (multi-function display).

DSC and remote control functionality

In addition to the conveniently located bus DSC button on the rear of each CommandMic™, the M510BB introduces a dedicated DSC remote control terminal (EN 300 338-8 compliant ), allowing connection to an external device to centralize control of emergency communications.

NMEA200 and NMEA 0183-HS

The network NMEA 2000 provides plug-and-play data communication to interconnect other marine equipment, such as an MFD (multifunction display).The radio can send AIS position, GNSS (GPS), DSC call and radio channels to other equipment.

Class D DSC functionality

On the back of each CommandMic™ is a conveniently located DSC button. Once triggered, the M510BB transmits a DSC alert signal to nearby vessels with the MMSI* and GPS location of your vessel. *MMSI number must be obtained and programmed for each vessel/radio.

Powerful one-way Hailer RX

Built-in 15W amplifier boosts sound output from an external speaker. The RX one-way hailer feature allows you to broadcast radio traffic through the hailer speaker to listen to radio traffic on the bridge or tower. You may also hear foghorn patterns coming from the bullhorn speaker.

Active noise cancellation

The active noise cancellation feature noise digitally removes noisebackground of audio transmission and reception to provide clear communications in noisy maritime environments.
