SailPods are intended for mounting a single radar or chartplotter at the helm. Navigation at your fingertips. "Where do you need it? When you need it." Sail Pods are the smart solution for mounting your radar or chart plotter to the helm where you can easily operate it and clearly see small details on the screen. NavPods have a high-gloss finish, giving you a clean mounting solution while hiding unsightly wires. Nickel-chrome plated tamper-resistant screws provide a little bling and a lot of security. Designed with a double-seal waterproof seal, NavPods protect your electronic devices from the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. It is best to mount a SailPod on a single bend AngleGuard or use an AngleGudual-curvature ard to fit an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and a SailPod below on the angled section.

Structural Rigidity — Gen3 enhancements now include thicker gauge acrylic-coated ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof seal — All SailPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. SailPods are designed to withstand offshore sailing conditions thes more difficult and humid. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The Poran Microcell Polyurathane internal seal is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SailPod in the future in order to service your electronic devices. The gasket will continue to do its job.

Chrome Nickel Plated Stainless Steel — We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. For NavPods Gen3, we provide tamper-resistant nickel-chrome-plated stainless steel screws for added security and a bit of style!
