Semi-self-leveling roof membrane sealant.

Sikaflex- 715 is a one-part silane-terminated polymer (STP) sealant that cures upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. Its unique flow characteristic is designed for roof waterproofing applications. Sikaflex-715 has very good adhesion and UV resistance, making it suitable for open joints.

Usage:

Sikaflex-715 is suitable for sealing a wide variety of RV roofing components including EPDM; metals such as ano aluminumsaid and naked; phosphated, chromated and zinc-plated steel; metal finishes; 2-part coverings; ceramics and plastics. Seek advice from the manufacturer and perform background testing on all substrates before using Sikaflex-715 on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced professional users. Testing with substrates and real-world conditions should be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Surface preparation:

The Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and dust. For repairs, removing pre-existing products is crucial to avoid compatibility issues. Surface treatment depends on the specific nature of the substrates and is crucial for a durable bond. Adhesion and compatibility must be verified by testing on the original supports.

Application:

Sikaflex-715 can be used between 5°C and 40°C. C (41°F and 104°F), but changes in reactivity and application properties must be considered. The optimum temperature for the substrate and processing material is between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). Sikaflex-715 can be processed manually, pneumatically, or with electric piston guns and pumping equipment.

Removal:

Sikaflex Uncured -715 can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika. Remover-208 or other suitable solvent. Once hardened, the material can only be removed mechanically. Hands and exposed skin should be washed immediately with a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on skin.

Overpainting:

Sikaflex-715 is not suitable for overpainting.
