PowerPods are designed for the boater serious that explodes offshore It demands the most from its boat and its electronics It needs a strong and robust support to protect the vital electronic components from the harshest sailing conditions, but clean and attractive. Over 70 pre-cut PowerPods are available for all popular manufacturers' products. The 1.8" opening in the swivel tube provides plenty of room to pass through wires and connectors. PowerPods are positioned with a rearward tilted viewing angle of 20 degrees.

PowerPods for Sail are intended to be mounted on a flat surface. Perhaps under the hood or aft of the cockpit table, especially on twin wheel boats.

The high gloss material

LThe NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material with an acrylic cap. We use the absolute best UV resistant NT material which provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important whenthat you will need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws

We use all hardware stainless steel mounting bracket supplied with each NavPod. Large Round Head Tamper Proof Screws have a deeper shank for the NavPod Wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper proof screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

Large caliber thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our machining centersCNC to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.

Rugged and secure, yet clean and attractive, PowerPods are better than rack mounting. Over 70 pre-cut PowerPods are available for all products from popular manufacturers. The 1.8" opening in the swivel tube provides plenty of room to pass through wires and connectors. PowerPods are positioned with a 20-degree tilt-back viewing angle.
